“ That the ELECTED might never form to themselves an interest
“This year, voting is more than just the core responsibility of citizenship; it is an act of defiance against malicious political forces determined to reduce access to democracy. Millions of ballots on Tuesday — along with those already turned in — will be cast despite the best efforts of Republican officials around the country to prevent them from playing a role in the 2012 election.
Even now, Republicans are assembling teams to intimidate voters at polling places, to demand photo ID where none is required, and to cast doubt on voting machines or counting systems whose results do not go their way.”

Catch you on the flip side, and if the EPIC FAIL that is The Pundit Class gets you down with their incessant horse race bullshit, remember:
There was NEVER good news for John McCain.
It’s a simple choice:
Romney for Ignorance, Stupidity and Hatred
Obama for Knowledge, Intelligence and Reason
“The Republican leadership in America must produce their birth certificates! Not because I doubt they’re Americans, I just want to make sure they’re not eight-years-old. I mention this because a major talking point on Fox News and hate radio these days is that … it’s time to bring the ‘adults’ back into power, so they can rein in our deficit, defeat terrorism, and focus on America’s real enemy: cleaning ladies in Arizona. But I must protest the premise, because conservatives are the ones who tend to believe in magical ideas, like: America is never wrong; you can defeat terrorism militarily; and lower taxes will somehow fix the deficit. And I’m not even mentioning the stuff about how Jesus used to fly around on a pterodactyl and just hated it when homos ate wedding cake.”
We voted early this morning, and we could really not recommend it highly enough.
10 minutes, checking some boxes, and if you’re anything like us you might grin like an idiot at the poll workers when they hand you your receipt, because democracy!
If you’re really lucky, you’re in a state where you’ll get a sticker. You won’t know until you go—find out if you can vote early here.

If you get harassed by one of these knuckle-dragging Republicans:
- ignore them while you ask every person around you to get some video of this
- give them a smile and a very polite ”GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY FACE, NOW.”
They want to cause a scene at the polling place? Give it to ‘em and get it on tape.
what do you think about gary johnson?
I think he needs to get his god out of my uterus and make an effort to understand the true meaning of “libertarianism”.
(Hint: True libertarians understand that there’s no place for government in my uterus, either).
“We’ve created 5.4 million new jobs, and this morning we learned companies hired more workers in October than any time in the last 8 months. The American auto industry is back on top. Home values and housing construction is on the rise. We’re less dependent on foreign oil than at any time in the past 20 years. We’ve made real progress, but we’re here today because we know we have more work to do.”
