That the ELECTED might never form to themselves an interest

Even Forbes Says Romney’s Plan Would Raise Taxes on the Middle Class by $1 Trillion ‹ I Acknowledge Class Warfare Exists

questionall:

The headline from Forbes says it all: If Romney Cuts Taxes For The Rich By 20%, He Will Have To Raise Taxes For The Middle Class By $1 Trillion.  This is FORBES people … FORBES.  And they’re being generous.  I think the math is even simpler than they make it out to be … according to the Tax Policy Center – Romney’s plan will raise taxes on the middle class by $3.7 trillion HERE.  But the bottom line is this … EVERYONE … conservatives and liberals alike recognize that Mitt Romney is lying about his tax plan.  And yet – Americans across the country are going to vote for him simply because he has an R next to his name and he’s not the black guy.

They write HERE:

First the $5 trillion in tax cuts which reduces the income tax on the wealthy by 20%($2.5 trillion), eliminates the Alternative Minimum Tax($700 billion), repeals the high-income payroll tax($300 billion) and hands out a juicy $1 trillion tax cut for corporations. They’re like people you know. Nice clean math. Nice big figures with a lot of zeroes.

Then, comes the problem, the headache, or maybe its the head fake. No identification of a single loophole that will be closed. No concrete exposition about raising the capital gains tax on rich people. Our friends at the Democratic Party headquarters have estimated the savings for “ending all tax benefits for the wealthy” at $1.7 trillion; eliminating ALL corporate tax benefits to offset the corporate tax cut- $1.1 trillion and then another $1 trillion of middle class tax benefits to pay for the middle class cut=- another $1 trillion.

Imagine the chaos, the bitterness, the social unrest that would occur. But, then realize these measures only get back $4 trillion. There’s another $1 trillion to go.

Let’s just look at all the people and institutions who have called Mitt Romney’s plan a complete fantasy:

  • Paul Krugman says Romney “is just faking” his plans HEREin other words – Romney is just making sh-t up.
  • The Salt Lake Tribune endorsed Obama over Romney saying “Romney is willing to say anything to get elected” HERE.
  • A large margin of economists prefer Obama over Romney for just about everything HERE.
  • The Congressional referee – the Joint Committee on Taxation says Romney’s plan is impossible HERE.
  • The former McCain economic adviser and current chief economist for Moody’s says the arithmetic “doesn’t work” HERE.
  • Politifact says Romney’s claim that 5 independent studies corroborate his math is “mostly false” HERE.
  • A Fox “journalist” actually says “How can you not tell the people these facts” HERE.
  • An independent study by the Brookings institution says Romney’s tax plan isn’t mathematically possible HERE.
  • Factcheck.org says his math is impossible in Romney’s Impossible Tax Promise.
  • I’ve given a very simple explanation that Romney’s plan will in fact cut taxes for the wealthiest Americans HERE.
  • The Tax Policy Center says Romney’s plan is a $5 trillion tax cut which would give anyone making more than $1 million a year at least an $87k tax cut HERE.
  • Bill Clinton says Romney’s tax math is impossible HERE.
  • Fox’s Chris Wallace calls out the Romney campaign for their math HERE.
  • The Council on Foreign Relations says “there is a $1 trillion hold in Romney’s budget math” HERE.

Who else do you need to verify this plan to understand the only possible scenario is an increase in taxes for the middle class; the math is simply impossible.

And there you have it!  Straight from the asses mouth.  Romney means more taxes for those who can least afford it.

When the GOP eliminates public education, what will your 10 year-old be doing on the average Tuesday in February?

So much wealth and power have accumulated at the top of America that our economy and our democracy are seriously threatened. Romney not only represents this problem. He is the living embodiment of it.

Let me get this straight - corporations are people, but teachers aren’t?

“Can’t change Washington from the inside” isn’t Obama’s surrender. It’s his declaration of war.

Through their actions and words, Republican Legislators in The United States Congress, Republican Governors in numerous states, and Republican Justices on The United States Supreme Court have demonstrated that:

  1. their Pledge to Grover Norquist supersedes their Congressional Oath of Office to defend the U.S. Constitution
  2. they do not believe in the Separation of Church and State as defined in the U.S. Constitution
  3. they do not believe in the Right to Vote in Fair Elections as defined in the U.S. Constitution
  4. they believe that 'American Corporation' is synonymous with 'American Citizen' and, as such, corporations are accorded the same rights as We The People
  5. they believe that legislation introduced in the U.S. Congress, and in State Houses from sea to shining sea, is not meant to serve or assist the Will of The People, but to serve and assist only the Will of the Corporations

By committing these Heinous Acts of Treason, the Republican Party has irrevocably declared war on We The People, leaving us with only one option:

We The People Hereby Declare War

On The Republican Party

DeMint Likens Teachers Striking In Chicago To ‘Thugs’ In The Middle East

justinspoliticalcorner:

Sen. Jim DeMint (R-SC) jokingly compared the teachers strike in Chicago to the unrest in the Middle East during a speech at the Values Voters summit Friday morning.

“On my way over, I was reading another story about a distant place where thugs had put 400,000 children out in the streets. And then I realized that was a story about the Chicago teachers strike. But we’ve got to think of good things.”

What we'll get if Romney is elected

justinspoliticalcorner:

This year’s Republican Party ticket featuring Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan, if elected to the White House, will have fatal and catastrophic consequences for our nation, as they make President Bush’s time in office look decent by comparison. The Romney/Ryan agenda is for the following:

* Placing higher taxes on the middle and lower classes while giving the 1 percent even less taxes to pay.

* Repealing the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act

* Supporting a full ban on abortions without exceptions

* Planning to make the Supreme Court even more conservative than it is already

* Gutting Medicare and Social Security

*Supporting a nationwide same-sex marriage ban

* Defunding Planned Parenthood

* Reinstating “Don’t ask, don’t tell”

* Supporting endless, unnecessary wars

* Supporting the weakening of workers’ rights

* Continuing the GOP’s War on Women

If you want a wise choice for our nation’s future, I’d recommend voting the current incumbents (Obama/Biden) back into office. Remember to vote wisely and smartly on Nov. 6.

Not only will they gut social security and Medicare — for those currently under 55, the Romney/Ryan Plan is:

  • confiscate every dime of FICA taxes you’ve ever paid *
  • deposit your FICA Medicare taxes directly into Romney’s Swiss Bank Account
  • risk losing your FICA Social Security taxes at the Wall Street Casino

* this includes Republicans

And to young adults who think Medicare doesn’t concern them…
FACT: The Romney/Ryan Plan will 1) Eliminate Medicare and 2) give the Social Security taxes your parents have paid all their lives to Wall Street to gamble with.
What that means to you is:
If your parents are under 55 as of 2013, the Romney/Ryan plan will shift financial responsibility for your parents post-retirement health care directly on to you.
In addition, you better really hope that Wall Street does well, or their everyday living expenses will be on you, too. (No guarantee of Wall Street doing well, of course — see Toxic Assets & The George W. Bush Market Crash of 2008).

Mitt Romney’s only bottom line is the one at the end of his own bank statement. The problem is that he confuses his own narrow self-interest — and that of people like him — with the national interest.
